The Lone Ranger and Tonto were Good Samaritans who roamed the West, helping anyone in need. Many boomers grew up with this icon, even dressing up as the Lone Ranger on Halloween. And Tonto represented one of the few popular images of Native Americans, although some may argue it was not an especially positive one.
