Max Logan, a successful lawyer and businessman who lives in Bozeman, currently serves as the president of AARP Montana, which has 143,000 members in the state.

As president, Logan, serves as chair of AARP Montana's executive council and the top AARP volunteer spokesperson in Montana and provides leadership to the organization that serves as the "voice of the consumer" in Montana.

"I'm excited to work with all AARP members to advance the issues that matter to us most—providing access to affordable, quality health care, including prescription drugs, cutting high utility and energy costs and stopping fraud and identity theft," said Logan.

Logan, as president, works with AARP Montana's state director and executive council, to develop the framework for state strategic planning and coordination of AARP activities.

"I bring a practical perspective to AARP Montana members and ensure that we are the voice of the consumer to make our communities better," Logan said.

AARP Montana State Director Bob Bartholomew praised Logan.

"Max Logan is a proven leader with broad experience, who does a great job for AARP Montana and its 143,000 members," Bartholomew said. "Max has done a great job in focusing our efforts on working to cut high utility costs, especially for elderly rate-payers. Before serving as president, Max was a key volunteer in providing leadership across the state on Initiative Resolution 117 and rejection of HB 474, legislation related to utility deregulation. Max will help us reach our key objectives and communicate our message to Montanans and state and local policymakers. We're proud to have Max as our president."

Logan has been active with AARP Montana for many years, serving as a member of the Executive Council, and the Capital City Task Force, which represents AARP Montana's interests at the Montana Legislature and before policymakers in Helena. Logan has also been a very active member of AARP Montana's Utility Action Team, which has been working to cut high utility costs and find ways to make energy and power more affordable.

Born in Quenemo, KS, Logan graduated with highest distinction and a B.A. in economics from the University of Kansas at Lawrence. In 1967, he graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School with a Juris Doctor. That same year, he was admitted to the Kansas Bar and was later admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Supreme Court and the Missouri Bar.
