"My mother was an AARP member for years. I know that you all have been contacting me for a while to renew, and I just did. I hear & see all the wonderful things that you offer and would like to continue to be a part of this. I tried t find somewhere else to try to e-mail you, and couldn't so I'm using this space instead. How do I learn more about your health benefits, and discount events? Please reply at your earliest convenience.”

Member Feedback:
“I would really love to see some articles on retirement places for 'the rest of us'. We are the people who are retiring on a shoe-string and won't be buying $250,000+ homes. We are concerned with sales taxes, property taxes, income taxes, license taxes, etc. We want to know where these are the lowest. We want to know where we can buy a home that we can afford (under $150,000) without living in a super-crowded area with others right on top of us. It would be great to see an article for those of us on the poorer end of the retirement scale for a change.

“As individuals, it’s hard to make a difference, but when you belong to a group or professional organization it’s easier. AARP can raise issues that are of concern to senior citizens and people have to listen to them.”

“I like all of the benefits and services that AARP has to offer. I am a retired veteran and even the military does not offer all the help I can get from AARP.”
-- Anthony Stewart, AARP Member
“I like how AARP serves as an advocate to help members deal with different issues and stay informed. I also like the multitude of resources available and discounts including insurance and health care. Without AARP, many would be uninformed consumers and approach things unprotected.”

“My children’s father was given 3 month to live from inoperable cancer. We were planning on getting the family together to plan all services and burial, unfortunately he only lasted a few weeks. We had 2 days to plan, purchase and set up services (he had no insurance or prepaid burial).
While selecting the flower arrangements I found out I could get a 15% discount by using my AARP card. This was the first time I used my AARP card, it may not seem like much, but at the time it was the only positive in our day.”
