This program offers opportunities to serve people of all ages. NRTA members design projects and collaborate with local organizations to help older adults and other people in need. In addition, with a support structure from AARP, many members use their educational backgrounds to instruct Driver Safety courses or to help low- and middle-income families with tax counseling.
The NRTA With Our Youth! program provides opportunities for retired educators and young people to work together to address the needs of youth and the broader community. Volunteer leaders from state and local Retired Educators Associations can use NRTA resources to organize local, self-sustaining, direct-service projects for and with youngsters.
