Hubert H. "Skip" Humphrey, III, of Golden Valley, MN, is a member of the AARP Board of Directors, Class of 2014. During the 2008-2010 biennium, he serves on the Board Governance Committee and the National Nominating Committee.

Mr. Humphrey is senior vice president of Tunhiem Partners and a senior fellow in the School of Public Health, University of Minnesota. Previously, he has been a public affairs consultant, senior fellow at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, and Minnesota Attorney General. Additional professional experience includes state senator and attorney for several firms and sole practice.

Prior to his election to AARP's Board, Mr. Humphrey's volunteer experience included state president for AARP in Minnesota and member of AARP's Rx Affordability Group. He is also a board member of Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights; Parks & Trails Council of Minnesota; Joint Degree Program Advisory of the University of Minnesota Law School; and the Health Law Center Advisory of Hamline Law School. Other current volunteer affiliations include membership with the Society of Attorneys General Emeritus; co-chair of the American Legacy Tobacco Documents Awards Committee; and member of the Advisory Committee of the St. Thomas University Law School's Public Policy & Leadership Program.

Among other honors and recognitions, Mr. Humphrey received the American Diabetes Association's Minnesota Health Award; the American Lung Association's President's Award; the University of Minnesota's Outstanding Achievement Award; and the Consumer Federation of America's Philip Hart Public Service Award.

Mr. Humphrey earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota, and his B.A. in political science from American University.
