Disability Advocates Inc. v. Paterson

On Procedural Grounds, Court Dismisses Ruling Ordering Supported Housing

What’s at Stake

AARP Foundation Litigation is working to ensure that people are able to age in the place they call home. The ADA, Rehabilitation Act and many state laws ensure the rights of older and disabled people to live in the most independent and integrated settings possible. The Supreme Court has reiterated the responsibility of government agencies to respect these civil rights. The availability of supported housing is a critical part of this equation.

Case Status

Disability Advocates Inc. v. Paterson was decided by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
