Support for Money Management Program Ending

For more than 30 years, the AARP Foundation Money Management Program has helped low-income older adults and people with disabilities who have difficulty with budgeting, paying routine bills and keeping track of financial matters. With the help of thousands of volunteers and the support of hundreds of local organizations and agencies, the program has served tens of thousands of clients.

Although Money Management Program services will continue to be provided through local host organizations and dedicated volunteers, AARP Foundation discontinued its involvement as of Dec. 31, 2013, and will no longer provide live website support as of Jan. 31, 2014. The Foundation made the difficult decision to allocate its resources to other programs in the Income impact area and in the other three impact areas of Hunger, Housing and Isolation.

All questions about the sunsetting of AARP Foundation’s involvement in the Money Management Program can be referred to Chris Rutledge at crutledge@aarp.org or 202-434-2193.

We encourage you to learn more about AARP Foundation's current Income programs, which help 50+ workers to earn, manage and protect their income as they age.
