Would you like to help older adults learn smart money habits? AARP Foundation Finances 50+SM is a financial capability program designed to motivate and empower participants to take charge of their financial future. The program assists individuals to make objective assessments, set appropriate goals and establish habits and behavior that will help them thrive.
As a volunteer Facilitator, you can lead in-person workshops on the basics of finances, covering:
- Goal setting and budget planning
- Debt reduction and credit repair
- Asset building and protection
You don’t have to be a financial professional to help. AARP Foundation provides training and printed guides to help you lead classes and offer support.
In-person classes are offered through community organizations and volunteers, and materials are available for download free of charge.
