Brian Hofland

Director, Economic Justice

Brian Hofland joined the AARP Foundation in September 2009 to undertake strategic planning and thought leadership work regarding how AARP Foundation addresses the needs of low-income, vulnerable 50+ persons. 

Brian is an in-tune, timely, well-organized spokesperson and champion for vulnerable low-income older adults issues.  AARP Foundation is very fortunate to be the recipient of a grant from The Atlantic Philanthropies that enables Brian to undertake this work. 

Previously Brian was Director of the International Aging Program at Atlantic, overseeing grant-making to transform the lives of older persons in the United States, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Bermuda, and earlier was Senior Vice President of the Retirement Research Foundation in Chicago.
