Educator Support Network (ESN)
This program helps retain quality educators in light of the fact that 33% of teachers leave the profession in the first three years. The first pilot program was launched in Chicago Public Schools in 2004. NRTA sponsors periodic professional development training sessions for the ESN mentors. The project now has sites in other states and is growing each year.
The NRTA Pension Round Table (PRT)
This program monitors trends in public employee retirement issues and other benefits, and develops recommendations regarding research, public policy and advocacy to the NRTA and AARP on behalf of its members.
